1. I found it interesting that Phillip was assassinated because i didn't know that and the people in the video thought he was assassinated by Alexander the Great, Phillip's son.
2. The Roman leader who drew the line in the sand to the Greek leader telling them to stop what ever he was doing.
3. I found it interesting that the Greeks were always in support of invading Persia.

I found it Interesting that Alexander and his father got drunk and had a fight, and that getting drunk was a tradition. I also found it interesting the reason that the Bible was written in Greek first because Greek was the standard language in that main region. Finally, I found it interesting that the ritual of the cleansing of the temple called Hanukkah by Judah Maccabee.

I found three things really interesting in the video. First, I found the part of video where it talks about Philip II interesting. He did not try to change the Greek's politics, and he let them have semi-independence. I also found the fight between Alexander and his father Philip II. It was interesting that father and son fought over a single comment by someone else! the last thing that I found interesting was how quickly Alexander's empire fell. He conquered a lot of land, but as soon as he died, his empire was split between three people and his whole empire shrunk and eventually disappeared.

one thing I thought was interesting in this video was the battle between Philip III and Alexander, after the general insulted Alexander about his birthright. Another thing that I found interesting was the hatred between the Romans and the Greeks even though they were so similar. lastly, the group that Alexander's mother was from, and it was interesting to see a cult worshiping the Snake (a sign of evil and deception).

1. I found it interesting that both Phillip and Alexander conquered a lot of Persia and land, but in the end, they were divided and both of them died sad deaths.

2. I thought it was interesting how the Laenas drew a line in the sand against Antiochus and then that's how the line in the sand phrase came about.

3. Lastly, I found it interesting how Phillip's wife, Olympia, did such weird stuff with snakes. It's funny how they weren't afraid of snakes.

I was intrigued by the fact that both Phillip II and Alexander the Great were skilled generals and gained territory. Both father and son expanded their kingdom quickly, and yet neither of them were able to govern after they won the war. Another thing that intrigued me was that the Jews resisted the Hellenistic world and so they actually revolted against it. This revolt was called the Maccabean Revolt. Not often do you hear about revolts coming from the Jews other than in the Bible when God has told them to revolt. The final thing that intrigued me was that Antiochus IV tried to force the Jews to sacrifice to the pagan gods. The Jews refused. A man who was crucial during this refusal was Judah Maccabee. Maccabee also happens to be the main character of one of the books of the Apocrypha, which also happens to be called Maccabee.

Three things that I found interesting:

1. I found it interesting that when Phillip II conquered Greece, he didn't force the Macedonian customs on them even though they acknowledged him as the ruler.

2. Second I found it interesting that the Roman commander drew a line in the sand and told the Greek you will not attack the Romans and you will give me your answer before you cross this line.

3. Third I found it interesting and confusing that people used to worship snakes as their pagan gods.

Three things that I found interesting in the video are: Alexander The Great's empire division, Philip the second's assassination, and the Jewish Revolt against the Seleucid empire.

I find it interesting how as soon as Alexander the Great died his empire was almost immediately divided. This is very strange because now if a leader died his country would not fall into ruins. Alexander obviously did not have very good leadership because his empire was divided very quickly.

It is very interesting how no one knows how Philip the second was assassinated? I wonder who actually killed him and why?

I find it interesting that the small Jewish forces were able to defeat the much larger Seleucid empire. Also, even though this was not mentioned in the video, the Jews only had enough pure oil to burn for one day, but the oil lasted for all 8 days which was enough time for them to get more.

Three things I found interesting in the video were that there was a cult that worshiped snakes and treated them like they were gods. I found this interesting as many Hindu's in my non christian side of the family worship snakes and treat them like divine creatures. I also found it interesting that king Phillip was a homosexual person. I always thought that homosexuality was a fairly new concept and is only common today. But after watching this video i realized that it was common back then too. I also found it interesting that an army general would stand up to the king and threaten to kill him if he didn't answer before he left the circle drawn. Why did the king have less authority than the general.
